Message from Our PresidentGreetings! On behalf of North Carolina Central University Alumni Association - Durham Chapter, I welcome you to Durham Chapter’s website. It is an honor and privilege for By adopting the 3Es, "Embrace New Eagles, Empower New Eagles and Encourage Current Eagles," we have been able to stay engaged and move the chapter forward. The Durham Chapter is your life-long link to NCCU and alumni in the Durham area. Together with our sponsors, partners, alumni and chapter members we are striving to build lasting relationships that have a positive impact on the community. We all stand on the shoulders of alumni that came before us and will continue to build on their legacy as we strive to uphold the chapter’s mission and aims while epitomizing our Alma mater’s motto “Truth and Service.” While visiting our website, you will learn more about Durham chapter, our membership tiers, scholarship programs, community service and fundraising endeavors, and upcoming activities and events. Additionally, through our website you will be able to donate to any program or service projects if you so desire. Each week our chapter members receive weekly updates keeping them abreast of what’s happening in our chapter, as well as in the community and NCCU. Dixon was named the 13th chancellor of North Carolina Central University on June 6, 2024. She was elected by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors following her nomination by the University of North Carolina System President Peter Hans. She began her appointment on July 1, 2024.
